Welcome to the...

WESTERN ASSOCIATION of SUMMER SESSION ADMINISTRATORS

Since it was established in 1946, WASSA has always been about sharing to help strengthen the services and learning outcomes we provide to higher education and our communities. And that attitude continues today, but under a slightly different name and as part of another summer session organization.

In December 2017, the WASSA organization will be dissolved as an independent 501(c)(3) organization and become part of NAASS (www.naass.org.)

Therefore, if not already, we encourage you to become a member of NAASS and by default of your institution's location, you'll be a concurrent member of one of their five regions (Middle States, North Central, Northeastern, Southern or Western).

If you are looking to connect with collegial higher education professionals who focus on the administrative and programming needs of Summer Session, Study Abroad, Pre-College, Maymester, Wintermester, Intersessions and other special programs, then NAASS is the organization to belong.  A national conference each fall, along with several regional conferences offered throughout the year, provide ample opportunities for the sharing of knowledge and expertise, as well as challenges faced and/or overcome, all pertaining to the administration and programming of summer session.

So don't delay.  Become a member of NAASS today.

Best wishes,

Trish Suske, University of Nevada, Los Vegas
WASSA President (2017/18)
NAASS-Western Reg. Vice President (2016/18)
